2. Information you give Learn Akshara
We do not require an account, login, name, email address, or learner profile to use Learn Akshara. The website does not include forms for uploading work, posting content, or entering personal details.
If you choose to email us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond. Your email service and ours process that communication under their own policies.
3. Learning data stored on your device
Learn Akshara uses your browser's localStorage to remember learning progress and sound preference. This can include completed lessons, best quiz scores, earned stars, and whether sound is turned on.
The Learn Akshara application does not transmit this learning data to Zimmify Private Limited. It remains in the browser profile on that device until you clear the site's stored data or the browser removes it. Clearing browser storage resets your progress.
4. Pronunciation and audio
Learn Akshara delivers bundled Malayalam pronunciation recordings as ordinary static website files. Playing a lesson sound does not send the letter or word to a speech service.
The website does not use your microphone and does not record your voice. Your browser requests the selected audio file from the website's hosting provider in the same way it requests the page, styles, and images.
Short correct and incorrect feedback tones are created in the browser with the Web Audio API.
5. Hosting and technical request data
When Learn Akshara is available on the web, its hosting provider may automatically process standard technical request data needed to deliver and secure the site. This may include an IP address, browser or device information, requested page, date and time, and diagnostic or security logs.
The exact retention and handling of those logs depend on the provider selected for deployment. We will update this policy if Learn Akshara begins using a hosting setup that gives us additional analytics or data controls.
6. Cookies, advertising, and analytics
At launch, we do not use advertising or analytics, and Learn Akshara does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Browser localStorage, described above, is used only for the learning experience and sound setting.
7. External links
Learn Akshara links to the Zimmify Private Limited website and may link to an email application. External websites and services have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
8. Children and families
Learn Akshara can be used by children and families, but it does not ask learners to create an account or submit personal information. A parent, guardian, or teacher should supervise a child's use of external links and email.
If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Learn Akshara changes. The revised policy will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material additions such as accounts, payments, advertising, analytics, or user submissions will require this policy to be reviewed before those features launch.
