Learn Akshara is operated by Zimmify Private Limited. By accessing or using Learn Akshara, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
If a child uses Learn Akshara, a parent or legal guardian should review these terms and supervise the child's use.
2. Educational service
Learn Akshara provides free activities for educational purposes. You may use it for personal, family, or classroom learning. No account or payment is required for the current website.
We may improve, add, remove, or reorganise lessons and activities over time.
3. Pronunciation and learning limitations
English transliterations are learning aids. They approximate Malayalam sounds and cannot capture every distinction, accent, or regional variation.
Pronunciation uses bundled human and synthetic Malayalam recordings. The recordings are intended to remain consistent across supported devices, but a pronunciation may still be imperfect. Learn Akshara is not a substitute for instruction or feedback from a qualified or fluent Malayalam speaker.
We work to keep the material useful, but we do not guarantee that every lesson, transliteration, pronunciation, example, or quiz item is complete or error-free. Please send corrections to contact@zimmify.com.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Learn Akshara for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity;
- introduce malicious code or attempt to bypass security controls;
- interfere with the website or place an unreasonable load on its hosting;
- misrepresent your relationship with Learn Akshara or Zimmify Private Limited; or
- copy or redistribute protected site content in a way that violates applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
The Learn Akshara name, site design, lesson arrangement, explanatory copy, illustrations, and software are owned by or licensed to Zimmify Private Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Malayalam letters, ordinary words, linguistic facts, and other material that belongs to the public domain are not claimed as our exclusive property. These terms do not limit rights you already have under applicable law.
6. Browser features and external services
Learn Akshara relies on browser storage and standard audio playback features. Their availability and behaviour are controlled by your browser, operating system, and device vendors. External links, email services, and the hosting provider are governed by their own terms and policies.
7. Availability
We may suspend or discontinue some or all of Learn Akshara at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent retention of local progress, compatibility with every browser, or continued availability of any particular recording or feature.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Learn Akshara is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zimmify Private Limited and its directors, employees, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, or inability to use, Learn Akshara. Our total liability for a claim relating to the free website will not exceed the amount you paid to use it, if any.
These limits do not apply where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The revised terms will be posted here with an updated date. Continuing to use Learn Akshara after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under mandatory applicable law, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts having authority over the registered office of Zimmify Private Limited.
12. General terms
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and Zimmify Private Limited concerning the current Learn Akshara website.
